Show as originally seeded was 48K/16 bit; when played at 44.1K, pitch was ~9% slow. The following editing was performed in Cool Edit Pro to downsample to 44.1K. Sample rate was readjusted to 48K. Levels were normalized with 32-bit processing, then downsampled to 44.1K/16 with 1-bit triangular dither and C2 (high-pass) noise shaping. Sets were retracked in CDWave and compressed to SHN via MKW v.97 seek enabled.

Subject: 16 and bulletproof

I was at this show. I was 16 and with my two older brothers. I had flown down from Louisville to visit my oldest brother who was in school at Auburn at the time. My middle brother was on tour. I remember the three of us, arm in arm, screaming "You know our love will not fade away" at the top of our lungs. What a great show. Damn I'm lucky I had older brothers. Whatever bad habits they may have taught me, I was born in '78 and got to see The Boys eight times because of them. Thanks John and Jeff!

Subject: hit and miss

sloppy Jack Straw..great Row Jimmy (especially the ending)...HORRIBLE B.E. Women...the best latter day version of Mexicali ever played. SET TWO: Unbroken opener-who can complain?...HORRIBLE Help on the Way...Horrible Slipknot...above average Franklins. The hightlight of the second set for me was the Corrina > Mathilda. All in all, great setlist, medicore show.

Subject: Solid Show.

This is a solid 3-star show. The first set features some great playing, especially from Jerry for this late date, and the second set has some great moments too. The very long Help>Slipknot>Franklins is rather enjoyable, even if they do make a complete meal of the first Slipknot riff (unclear who's at fault but if you listen to the ear monitor recording also available on this site, you can hear Jerry trying to pin the blame on Bob). Corrina>Matilda is also good, Jerry and Vince doing a lot of impromptu "Corinna!"'s towards the end of the song which get the crowd excited.
The sound of this recording is equally good, and really captures the great atmosphere inside the venue; the crowd are really getting into it.
What stops me rating this show "4" is that this source has obvioulsy been cleaned up at some stage - there are lots of tiny cuts here and there that suggest popS, clickS, fuzz etc. hav been spliced out, which do get a little annoying.
